            A talk on education bersama doktor Xu Zhelong. Beliau pernah ke malang 11 tahun lalu untuk memberikan pelatihan tentang pendidikan. Ini menyebabkan beliau sedikit bisa bahasa indonesia untuk menyapa dan mennyebutkan beberapa kata. Beliau begitu sabar, beliau menjelaskan kenyataan pendidikan di China yang penuh dengan tekanan dan sebenarnya siswa China tidak begitu pintar jika dibandingkan dengan siswa dari US atau negara-negara Eropa. Di China para siswa  dituntut menjadi top5 atau top10, sehingga kerja mereka hanya belajar. Mereka  harus bisa mengulang penjelasan guru dengan cepat dan tepat, tidak boleh salah. Mereka suka bekerja secara individu karena suka bersainng satu sama lain. Namun ketika mereka harus bekerja sama dengan yang lain mereka tidak bisa. Mereka tidak inovatif. Jadi gambaran bahwa siswa China pintar hanyalah minded kita saja yanng membentuknya. Dalam perkembangan kedepan ilmu dan sekolah bukan satu-satunya jaminan seseorang akan sukses di masa depan. kesuksesan ditentukan oleh ability, kemampuan berkomunikasi, dan menjadi pribadi yang menarik. berikut ini materi yang beliau sampaikan.
Education is the foundation of national progress and development; meanwhile, it is the basic way of enhancing the whole nation’s overall quality and innovation ability as well. Education has the significant function and meaning which is: not only in training of high-quality workers and specialists, but also in improving the whole nation’s happiness index, innovation ability & providing knowledge innovation and technological innovation achievements.
Teachers should make it clear that the highest aim of education is students’ healthy growth and let the students know that nothing is more important than receiving good education. Only through good education can the students grasp profound knowledge, clever aptitudes, wise temperament, the broad mind and noble upbringing. In one’s life, education is most needed in youth, and youth is, of course, the best education period. Making students be able to create a happy life for himself and for the country through studying hard, including studying how to learn, studying how to be innovative, studying how to be cooperative, studying how to become a unique one.
Education is service, it’s all for student and for all students and teacher should be trying to the best teacher the aim of; “Gao Kao” that is nations examination for assesing  the student to get  best university and to make people succes, but on  years ago just 1% pescent can sussces to get Gao Kao, 70% they become a farmer and not continue the educations, now to be succes on Gao Kao, the students spend of time to study hard, they study to courses, thats way now in China have ± 3500 courses place, that can make increase the succes of Gao Kao until 60%. They don’t like groups, and they text book learning not improving to be creative to be can answer. The home work can’t be done for 2-3 hours but more, and to get a good mark for 100 is soo proudly.
In China students have many they are self study, they want to be number one and they work hard to rich the top-10 until top-5 in the primary school, junior school and senior high school. But for all that is not function because if top-5 and top-10 means succes that means 30%-20% is not succes. The teacher is shany if range of class not realy good at least 95 but just 856 it’s ok, to be good teacher must be have  a fun in the class. Succes mean develope ability not just result good mark for students. The teacher have high expectation to become burden and student fell lazy or stupid thats it’s  risk reform but not all student like thats. In poor family they must be hard work to be succes and get education. In 1979 has role one baby in one family but thats can be effect now in education and 10-20th years ago the teacher is very easy.
Education makes people grow up through the provision of services and help people develop freely, to improve the well-being and dignity of the human being. As a social organization, school serves for three major purposes: monitor students, improve the level of students’ knowledge and skills and develop the students' individuality (such as interests, attitudes, values and behaviors).
A high quality school should be the one where, the vast majority of students feel that they can freely make use of the school and realize their own ideals with the help of the teacher. On the favorite school ususally have big class for 40 – 50 students, and the students must be study hard to have achievement. Progress is importance than knowledge. Equal treathment of students and providing them appropiate education will enable students with diferent talent. Potential, different characters and with different cultural backgrounds to receive the full development. So each can find the position in social life and realize the value as a human being.
In the classroom teaching provides the right environment for teacher to pay the much needed attention to all students as well as providing the warmth and the joy adn pride of succes. They will be free to explore different concepts in a very friendly environment and with dedicate. So no mistake no success. Good teacher is importance.

          Introduction of plant di sampaikan oleh Dr. Lixin Hua. Materi yang disampaikan mengenai biodiversity makhluk hidup yang meliputi genetic diversity, spesies diversity, dan ecosystem diversity. Diversity sangat penting untuk keseimbangan ekosistem yang mendukung kehidupan di bumi, ekosistem memberikan maanfaat dan memelihara kehidupan di muka bumi, dan mendukung perekonomia.
            kami juga mempelajari diversity tanaman dan taksonomi tanaman. manfaat dan tujuan dari klasifikasi tanaman, dan pembagian kingdom tanaman. Pada saat perkuliahan Dr. Li selesai aku bertanya kepada beliau tentang cara pengawetan tanaman seperti yang terpajang di lantai satu gedung life sciences ini. Bagian-bagian tanaman yang terpajang di sana memiliki warna daun dan bunga yang tetap terjaga seperi warna aslinya. Ternyata ada tekniknya yaitu menggunakan CuSO4 sebagai media untuk merendam daun dan bunga, kemudian organ tanaman tersebut dikeringkan menggunakan oven bersuhu tinggi. Dengan CuSO4 menyebabkan klorofil pada daun ataupun kromoplas pada bunga lebih stabil

Materials and equipment

Test tubes: 25 mL x 10                       Volumetric flask: 100mL x 2 (Brown)
Beaker: 50mLx2, 250mL x 2              Pipette: 10mLx1, 2mLx1, 1mLx1
Filter paper: 11cm                               Dropper x 2
Coordinate paper, mortar, funnel, rubber suction bulb, test tube rack, pipette rack, loss rods x 1
Reagents
1.      Sodium sulfite
2.      Sodium hydrosulphite (solid)
3.      Riboflavin standard ( 5μg/mL)
Dissolve 10 mg standard riboflavin in 100 mL acetic acid solution (1.71 mol/L) in a 2 1 flask. Warm, cool and make up to volume. Store the solution in amber bottles in a refrigerator.
Procedure
1.      Weigh accurately the riboflavin tablet and ground it thoroughly in a mortar.
2.      Dissolve the powder in 75 mL ddH2O and mix, transfer to a 100mL volumetric flask and make up the volume with water. While transferring, wash the the conical flask completely to transfer the material without any loss
3.      Filter through medium- fast paper
4.      Take 2 mL solution, add 5 mL 1.70mol/L HAc and make up the volume with water in a 100 mL volumetric flask
5.      Standard curve and riboflavin concentration measurement
Take 10 test tubes, add solutions as follows:

Riboflavin Content (μg)










Record the fluorescence intensity of the sample solution and determine the concentration of riboflavin in μg/mL.

Calculation
1.      Draw the standard curve on the coordinate paper. F values as Y-axis, riboflavin content as X-axis from tube 1-6
2.      Calculate the mean F value (F) of sample
3.      Calculate riboflavin content of the testes tubes according to the standard curve
4.      Calculate the riboflavin content of the tablet.

Aku sempat bertanya apakah hanya B2 saja yang bisa dianalisis dengan fluorescence spectroscopy? bagaimana dengan vitamin-vitamin B yang lain? jawabannya untuk B2 mengandung fosfor jadi bisa diliat dengan fluorescent spectroscopy, sedangkan untuk vitamin B yang lain perlu pengamatan lebih lanjut.
